Asia Beattie ("Yes, in true Polish hospitality, I was graciously given a Polish version of my name!"), a 2010 Poland in the Rockies alumna, is set to graduate with a double major in History and Modern European Studies in May, 2011 from UBC. Next up, Asia plans to study to become an immigration consultant, but is also looking into grad school in Poland. Such would be her third time studying abroad, already having studied at KUL, Lublin in 2008 and UW, Warsaw, 2010. Her passions include all areas of Polish studies, but especially Polish language and literature. Favorite authors include Słowacki, Gombrowicz, Tardowski, and, of course, Mickiewicz.
