David French, originally a Londoner, came to Poland as an adult to discover his Polish roots… and stayed. And now he has two totally new Polish relatives; his daughter Magdalena and son Oskar. He loves good pierogi ruskie and kawa zbożowa, and misses English chips. David is a translator and lectures at a teacher training college. In his spare time he visits the Czech Republic to buy bilingual English-Czech Raymond Chandler and Agatha Christie novels.
