Don Fredericksen is a professor of film at Cornell University. He has co-authored a monograph on Wajda’s Kanał with Professor Marek Hendrykwski of Adam Mickiewicz University. He has lectured on film and psychology in Poland, and is currently writing a monograph on Zanussi’s Illumination (1973).
“Masterpieces of Polish Cinema,” organized and restored by Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation and curated by the great filmmaker himself, is the largest collection of classical Polish cinema to date.
