M. B. B. Biskupski is the President of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences in America. He holds a doctorate from Yale and is currently the holder of the S. A. Blejwas Endowed Chair in Polish Studies at Central CT State University. He has published fourteen books and scores of essays. His most recent volume is Independence Day: Myth, Symbol, and the Creation of Modern Poland (Oxford, 2014).
